School is Cool!

It's that time of year again...Parent-Teacher Conferences (round 2).

(I didn't realize they do these so often! Seems like we just had one.)

Anyway- Shaun is doing AWESOME! Yeah Shaun!

His report card was terrific, but meeting with his teacher you can just tell she is as proud of him as we are! His academic progress is still great. The repeated the start of the year testing and he has greatly improved. Compared to others he is at or above the average on everything.
Good at reading and writing, great at math. (that's my boy!). His neatness (one of the 2 things he as lower on last review) has greatly improved.

The thing he had to work on last time was behavior in class. Being patient and not "calling out" answers or that it's his turn, etc.. She said his behavior is SO GOOD now! He has really, really improved and she is just so proud of him.

Socially, he is still doing great too she said. She did say he and his friend Hailey are still totally buddy, buddy. She said they are so cute, always looking out for each other, hugging, touching, sitting by each other. (nothing bad or not age appropriate at all, just sweet on each other it seems). So cute! He is MORTIFIED if I ever ask him about her though - so don't tell him I told you! ;-) Apparently, he also gets a little jealous if the other boys try to move in on her too.

So, this weekend Shaun will be getting a "reward" for his great improvement and results at school. He wants a Star Wars helmet thingy, but I'm thinking a special souvenir from the Monster Jam show he and daddy are going to on Saturday might be better. We'll see I guess.
