Overall - Winter Break was so much fun. Both Matt and I had so much time with the kids, doing special things. Even the little things - just spending time playing board games with us - is so much fun to them.
We had such a blast with our cousins and their kids over the break while they were all here visiting! I only wish they all lived closer and we could see them more - but we sure enjoy it when they are here!
On New Years Eve we adult cousins went to the Insight.com Bowl game to watch my former hometown college (Minnesota) face Iowa State. Poor Minnesota bit it big time - but it was fun spending time with the cousins anyway.
We had some sad news this break too. My Grandma, who's health has not been he best anyway - was found to have a bleeding ulcer. My mother had to suddenly leave to help out up in ND and we missed her at our family fun - but she is, as always, the rock - and knew she had to be there for her parents. After 2 scopes and attempts at cauterizing the ulcer appears to have stopped bleeding and hopefully she is on the mend.
Shauns started his Flag Football season with a practice and a scrimmage. He had a BLAST!
Matt started his new activity too! He had his first Softball practice this weekend. He had a great time and I think it's going to be fun for him, and for us to watch him!
