Resolution 2010

I'm not one to make resolutions...but

If I came away with any overarching thing this last few weeks - it is that we could be very happy, as could our kids - with a lot less. Less working, less money, less food, less toys (a $5 board game and $10 football would keep us very occupied!), less junk and clutter we seem to accumulate in ever corner of our house.

We are very blessed, we recognize and appreciate it and this year I will be working to de-clutter our lives and our house a bit.

Step 1 will be cancelling our gym membership. In our busy life, we just don't use it enough or what we pay for it. In it's place I've started working out at home with the videos in the Freezone of our cable On Demand. It's great so far! And Free! And takes me away from home less!

Step 2 is doing a quick run through the house before our neighbor's garage sale this weekend.

Step 3 is finding a home for our crib with a loving and needy family.
(Know of anyone in need).

Step 4 is to spend deeper time in each room of the house over the next few months getting rid of the unnecessary, passing on things others could use, throwing out the junk, organizing better what stays.

I'm not sure what Step 5 is, but it will come to me.

I'm hoping my "Less is more" plan will last all year and help all our family goals!
