My office was closed yesterday for MLK Jr. day, and since the kids were out of school as well, but Matt had to work - we had a Mommy day.
It was fun! We had suprisingly few outbursts too, which made it even better than expected!
We worked out together (okay that was mostly for me, but he kids had fun with it).
We cleaned the house (believe it or not, they asked to do this!).
My mom came over and we all went to the bookstore for story time and got some new books.
Then we went to Sweet Tomatoes for lunch. It was very yummy and pretty healthy! (nice pairing with our morning workout).
Neena Pat put Ainsley down for her nap and Shaun and I took off all the baby proof latches from the kitchen cabinets. This was super fun for Shaun who loves to work with the tools, screwdriver, etc... (I'll have to think up more projects like this that he can help with, because he loved it!).
We had many games of Yahtzee, Candyland, and Chutes and Ladders.
We made Chocolate Cupcakes and the kids licked the heck out of the bowl!
We had our friend, Lizzie, come over to play.
AND - we had a new home security / alarm system installed!
Busy day, lots of fun - - too short!
