Mommy - Shaun Date...

Today my big 5 yr old and I had a mommy/son date.
Three rounds of Yahtzee (one failed round of Sequence...not quite into that one yet).

We had breakfast and I ran out to the grocery store -and then we had an Epic Light Saber dual.
I had to be the "bad" guy - Darth Vadar...in this battle Evil won though because while he killed me once, I killed him twice! ;-)

Then when Daddy got called unexpectedly to work on his day off, we decided we'd go see a movie. We saw the new Alvin and the Chipmunks movie...popcorn, candy and a movie with my boy - Bliss!

When we got back we played some more games and then Shaun helped me make 63 homemade meatballs to cook tomorrow for our Christmas Eve Appetizer's party. He was actually a really good meatball roller! I'll definitely use him in the future!

So now, we are about to head out for a little soccer at the park before we pick Ainsley up from her last day at her current daycare. She's been there since she was 6 months old...and next week will start at a brand new place.
We love the new place and know it is the right move for her right now, but we will miss our beloved teachers and memories at her old place for sure.

Well - my date calls - I'm off to beat my son in Soccer. (Mean mommy!) ;-)
