It was very fun and it was so nice of them to include us!
We found a secluded beach where we swam and had snacks, climbed rocks, built sand castles and got nibbled by little fish. Later we had lunch on the boat and then Scott, Skyler's dad, handed the driving duties over to me! So trusting!!!
I haven't really been on a speed boat since I was about 19 I think, but he really wanted to try to get up skiing, so I did my best. I just couldn't get enough umphh to get him up and out and I tired him out big time trying. Sorry Scott!! It's an inboard motor and I think with all the weight of all of us in the boat, plus a full cooler, I just couldn't punch it enough. Or maybe I just suck - either way - I hope he doesn't hold it against me too long. ;-)
The amazing news of the day though, was that Skyler tried water skiiing for the first time and he got up! A tiny bit the first time, a little further the 2nd, and on the 3rd time he made it very far!
Yeah Skyler! It took some coaxing to get him in - but he's already a pro!
Shaun was still nervous about trying that, but said he would the "next time".
We found a great little private cove and swam some more - and topped of the day with Shaun and Skyler peeing off the back of the boat. (Shaun's highlight - not mine). What is it with boy's and peeing?!?
Anyway - all in all an awesome day - fun had by all. Here's some pics...
