K - week 1, done!

Kindergarten, week 1, has come to a close and I think we can call it a success!
I only cried 2 days, Shaun didn't cry at all! Ainsley cried and I think I saw Matt tear up at one point, though he would never admit it.
Shaun took it all in stride and has had a great time.
I think the best comment of the week was on day 3, after I asked him what he did in school for like the thousanth time this week - he said "Mommy, we don't play, all we do is work. Kindergarten is just work, work, work." :-)
Good thing he likes this kind of "work" though! And he gets plenty of play at Bobcat Club (before and after care at school). The big kids even let him play basketball and dodge all with them.

Tonight we had a fundraiser for our baseball league at Peter Piper Pizza and so he got to see his best buddy, Skyler, who now goes to a different school since they left daycare where they had been together since they were 18 months old. They fell right back into it, and had a blast together all night. It was fun, chaotic, and hopefully we raised some money too!
We pretty much hand picked our team this year, and the glorious coaching duo of Dennis and Matt is back together - so it will surely be a great season! ;-)

Tomorr0w we are off to Tucson for the Arizona Football "meet the team" night. Shaun wants to see who is taking his favorite player's place as the new quarterback this year (in place of Willie Tuitama). Ainsley just wants to see Wilma and Wilbur, the mascots, and shout "Go Cats" really loudly she says. Should be a fun day!
Wish us luck and no tantrums! (yeah, right!)
