Dentists and garage doors...

I took Shaun to the Dentist today. It was pretty much a total failure.
He went once with me when he was like 3 1/2 and he opened his mouth and played with the water sprayer and did pretty good for his age. No cleaning - just getting comfortable - but we figured this time would be great based on that time.
Not So Much!
It took about 15 minutes to even get him to open his mouth for them. Then 10 more minutes to let them take the "camera wand" and take some pictures inside his mouth.
He absolutely refused to do the xrays or the cleaning. After nearly and hour I gave up and decided to make another appointment next week to try to push through on those things. He promises he's going to let them next tme. (yeah right!)

So we head back home for me to work from home and he promises he'll play quietly and let me work. Ummm - kind of I guess.

Good news though - our Home Warranty place finally decided to replace our horrible garage door opener that we've had repaired like 3 times already this year. We decided to pay a little out of pocket to upgrade it to a nicer one. They just finished installing it and it is soooo nice. Quiet, more features. Very nice.

So - my life is down to being excited if a kid opens his mouth in the dentist chair or we get a garage door opener. So fabulous!

I hear ya! I haven't taken the boys because I know for a fact that DJB won't even walk in the door! It's sad cause LOB keeps ASKING to go to the dentist! Maybe we'll have to sedate DJB and try it! I don't even know if they would do that! I'm a horrible Mommy! BTW, I bought the Sneaky Chef Kids book. I haven't tried it yet but I plan to soon!
