Boy's stink.

I've come to realize this truth - Boys Stink. Literally, they are stinky.
They "toot", they run around endlessly getting sweaty, and if they take their shoes off - TAKE COVER!

I know when boy's grow up and become young men they learn to hide this stinkiness - they shower more, they use deodorant, and self control and cologne...all in an effort to hide the gift mother nature gave them. (is it to fend off the enemey - girl cooties?)

Anyway - lately we have had a little issue with Shaun...or more specifically, with Shaun's feet.
They reek! I love this little boy more than life itself, but seriously I will put him out on the street if he takes his shoes and socks off inside my mini-van after I pick him up at school again! Too harsh you say?....It's a driving hazard, I swear!

We noticed he was taking his socks off and wearing just his tennis shoes some days - and we forbid that. Still stinky.

We washed the tennis shoes - still stinky.
We bought foot spray for the shoes and his feet - still stinky.
We bought new tennis shoes, feet powder, and go through a morning ritual of powder his feet, his socks and his shoes every day.
That helped...for a while. The stink returned last week.
That's when we noticed he is only putting his socks "half way" on his foot. He pushes them down under his heel. When we asked why, he says - so they don't show. Now - understand we buy him the "no-show" socks...so they really barely show. He is obsessively pushing them down. He says they look "dumb" - he HATES if they show at all. So much that he threw a huge fit Sunday morning going to church because we insisted he wear his socks normal. He cried all through church to the point that we left early! I guess this is some new "cool" thing at school now.

So - I went on a hunt yesterday and found the absolute lowest cut, most absorbent, softest socks I could find. He loves them and couldn't wait to wear them today.
Please let this new socks be the gift from sweet smelling heaven that saves us! ;-)
