My little angel Ainsley woke up multiple times last night sad as can be. She had a very bad ear ache, but no fever. She just wanted to be held and moan.
It has been a while since she's been this way - just needy and lovey.
I should be ashamed to admit that I kind of enjoyed it. She is so independent normally that I don't get to really dote on her and snuggle up with her much anymore.
So, we made it through the night and once daddy got home from his long and late day of meetings, she even got him to sit with her until she fell back to sleep.
So, this morning I'm working from home waiting to call the Dr. to try to get an appt to check that ear out. She is feeling much better being upright - but I don't want to be stuck all weekend with an earache at night if it is an infection.
She is sitting next to me "working" (coloring pictures on the dry erase board). And she is also caring for her baby bunny because he has an ear infection today. So cute!
I'm very blessed with overall healthy kids and am so grateful for that...but I secretly enjoy caring for them and feeling so needed and able to comfort on days like these too.
Happy Mother's day to me I guess! ;-)
