Ainsley had her 1st ever Gymnastics Showcase this weekend - and I don't know who had more fun...me or her. It was adorable, and funny, and impressive, and sad (too see her so grown up) all at once! I just LOVE this little girl!
I even got her a brand new leo for the special event! Since she is now called "Ainsley Monkey", I thought it was fitting.
Here she is practicing saluting the judges before we went. I don't know if that is intensity or fear...I guess we'll see.
Turns out it was intensity - because she did awesome! Here are some pics.
I guess all the hard work paid off - she got 1st place!
(No need to mention that every kid got 1st place - right?)
She was so proud and had so much fun - and so did I!!!!
In honor of equal time for all siblings...I should also mention that while we were at the showcase - Daddy was with Shaun coaching him in football where he ran a full field distance touchdown - and threw for the extra point! Yeah for the Cottrell family this weekend!
(Oh - except that clutzy matriarch who missed a line drive grounder at the softball game Friday and took it hard on the ankle and is now hobbling around a bit.) shhh - don't tell anyone!

Sounds like a great weekend! We need to figure out a Saturday to have you over for some BBQ and swimming!
