Can I breathe now?

So - I think after 2.5 straight days of good behavior at school, maybe I can stop holding my breath now and hope that moving away from a certain troublesome child-L has solved the problem. Let's hope so!

Oh - did I mention that at the end of my phone call with Mrs. C she asked if I might like to volunteer in the classroom soon. While I'm sure this is because she see's what an amazing parent I am through our latest challenges and wishes for my expert help...there is a slight possiblity this was a "hint" that I haven't been involved enough in the school so far?
I really do want to...really!

My big plan for this year (back in August), was to arrange to start working from home full time instead of losing 1.5 hours in the car commuting to the office every day.

I envisioned my kids being able to sleep later than 6am.

I imagined they wouldn't have to be dropped off for "before" care 2 hours before school actually started.

I dreamed of being able to volunteer in the classroom twice a month, or more, and attending all the class room parties that parents were invited to.

That request was "put on hold for now" by my boss back then - and I'm still waiting, still imagining, still dreaming! ugh.

It's 2010, it's a new year, and I've decided I'm going to ask again...and this time suggest even a couple days a week would work if every day is not agreeable.
One of the advantages of being a stats dork who sits a computer all day is that my office can pretty much be where-ever there is a computer and an occasional phone call. The privacy of my home office in my loft is perfect! Now, if I can just convince my boss of that!
