The first leg of the trip was to Illinois to see Matt's brother's family. Our beautiful, talented twin nieces were graduating high school and we got to have a great visit with them, our other amazing niece Katie, and cousins Jeremy, Erin, and Mikey made the trip as well as Matt's parents.
We had a very full house - but it was sooooo much fun!
One of Shaun's favorite things about the mid-west is all the open grass to play in - and St. Charles, IL did not disappoint! Even when it rained he was begging a cousin to go play ball of some kind with him - and they happily obliged!

We had a fun day trip to downtown Chicago. Highlights were the train ride, lunch at Billy Goat Tavern, American Girl Doll store, Navy Pier, and the Water Taxi.
Shaun LOVED Uncle Mike's drums - but also liked rockin' out to some Metallica on Rock Band with the cousins.
There was a great adult trip to Gibby's Irish Tavern, complete with live music! The kids LOVED the tour of Uncle Mike's work helicopter. But mostly we just had a great time just hangin' with the family.

Looks like lots of fun! So where are the twins going to school in the fall??
Both Shannon and Breanna are off to Western Illinois Univ. in August.
