I had the best Presidents Day ever today! (To be fully honest - I've never really celebrated it before so it was pretty easily the best.)
Shaun and Ainsley were both off school and for the first time I can remember - my company was closed for it too! So - we had fun mommy day! And Neena Pat, fresh back from Jamaica, tagged along and helped join the fun too!!!
I think she needs another vacation now!
I took both kids to the eye doctor for the 1st time this morning as well - and they both did amazing! Well behaved, followed instructions easily and passed with flying colors.
Then we picked up Neena and headed out for lunch - great time. Played some games at Dave and Busters, went and painted some awesome pottery, went back to D&B and played more and won some cool prizes...and then enjoyed Ainsley's dance class. Wrapped it up by bringing home daddy's favorite deli food for dinner. Good times!
At lunch Shaun told us all about President Washington and Lincoln and I was very impressed with his knowledge for 1st grade! I'm a little worried he'll be making me look stupid very soon! Are you smarter than a 1st grader?!?
So - Happy Presidents' Day to you all! (I'm going to celebrate with a nap!)

Glad you had a great day! Sorry we had to postpone on Saturday - maybe next Saturday if Shaun doesn't have football or baseball.
