We had another great flag football game for the Bulldogs this week.
Shaun scored 2 touchdowns, his buddy Skyler scored another and they had a ton of great defensive plays as well!
So much fun watching them play so hard!
Shaun and I also met a "real life" football player from Okalahoma University at Walgreens yesterday! Adrian Taylor, a HUGE Defensie Tackle who just graduated. We were innocently shopping for Valentine's day stuff and he overheard Shaun's funny comments about picking cards and saw us. He approaced me and asked for a "female point of view" on what he was sending his girlfriend and we had a nice little convo. I noticed his OU football shirt and being that he was a giant - asked if he played there. He let me know he had, told us his name was Adrian and he just graduated. He asked Shaun if he played and from that point on they were buds.
He called Shaun a man and told him to never let anyone tell him he couldn't do anything - and to work hard and he could do anything he wants in life! What a nice young man!
Shaun was in Awe, I was impressed, and we looked him up when we got home. Turns out he was a pretty darn good player - but tore his achiles and ended up injured - so I'm not sure of his NFL prospects - but we'll keep an eye out for him regardless. Nice guy!
