Week 1 Done!

So, today Shaun wraps up Week 1 of 1st grade, and it has gone great!
He has seriously been so happy each day. Loves to tell us about his day, is proud of little accomplishments already, and really likes his teacher so much!
She seems just great to us too! I think we really lucked out in that department!

I've worked from home 3 days this week and it is so nice on those days for Shaun to get to sleep in more and get a leisurely start to his day. He has really learned now how to entertain himself once he is up and let mommy work - so it doesn't interfere with me getting stuff done at all. (Other than the 10 minute break I take to go drop him off when it is time, and I make that time up easily when I'm not driving 45 minutes each way to work!)

I'm hoping I'll get to start doing the work from home thing full time soon. It's so nice to juggle home and work responsibilities. I seem to get more done for both places this way - and with all my clients on the east coast, they love that I'm available to them so much earlier in the day on those days.

So - First week of 1st grade looking terrific! And we are rewarding ourselves with a night away at our Alma Mater this weekend for the Wildcat Football Team's Fan appreciation night. Our kids love this tradition and we do too! Should be lot's of fun!
