My new motto is to try new things.
I'm doing this new diet...and I'm down 18 lbs in 4 weeks! I have 2 more days of the very low calorie phase of it and then I go on to a 6 week maintenance period.
I'm eating organic. It feels awesome and tastes awesome.
I think I'm going to start and plant a vegetable garden at home and grow some of my own even!
I decided, due to the new diet, I'd try some new healthier foods too. If you know me, you know I do NOT like seafood. I've never liked it. I grew up in MN with fish all around me, caught them, even helped clean them once upon a time. But NEVER liked it. But - new things...
So I tried grilling up some shrimp last night. I'm not sure if I over cooked it, or it just confirms I'm not a seafood girl - but I couldn't stomach it at all. Ick. Any suggestions from seafood eaters out there?
Oh - and one more new thing.....some new jeans I just bought that are 2 sizes smaller than before I started the diet! ;-)

Congrats! Seafood - it really has to be prepared well to taste good (and I am a seafood lover). What about trying some tilapia - it's a white fish and grill it just a bit. Don't over cook it or it will be like rubber. The seafood departments at the grocery have some great seasonings they will put on the seafood. I also love boiled shrimp with cocktail sauce. Good luck with the garden we just planted a second plot.
Okay - thanks for the advice and encouragement C!
