Ainsley was invited to one of her best friends' birthday party at Peter Piper. Ainsley has so much fun with her whole crew from pre-school! She didn't stop smiling or laughing the entire time! I just love watching her experience all these fun things lately...becoming such a big girl now.

Then, last night, Matt's work had an outing at the Diamondbacks vs. Padres game. We went as a family and had a total blast! The kids were so in to it and so well behaved it was crazy.
Ainsley was screaming - "hit it" when we were at bat and "Strike him out" when we were in the field. All around us were cracking up when she did it. So cute!
We were lucky enough to be at the game that they were retiring the 1st Dbacks player's jersey ever. The great Luis Gonzalez. It was a great ceremony!
At one point in Gonzo's speech he addressed all the kids out there with a dream like he had as a kid. And told them to "Work hard, and to never, ever give up"! Inspiring on it's own - but the crazy thing for us is that particular phrase is a family motto for us, has been for years and it's even evolved over time to the point we simply hold up 2 fingers with the kids and they know what it means from the sideline. Shaun was so engrossed in his speech already, and then when he said that - we all about fell out of our seats. It made a big impression on Shaun I think. Very cool!
