Shaun's off to Kindergarten in about 2 weeks! He is very excited - still sad about leaving his 2 best bud's from Tutor Time, but excited about "big boy school".
I did the majority of his school supply shopping yesterday - ugh - and he was so excited about all the "stuff".
On a side note - this is a Serious amount of parent provided school supplies for a Kindergartener, isn't it!? Crazy! How did our teachers manage without parents providing all this back in our day? With hitting the sales I got it all pretty cheap considering how much stuff it is - but it does seem like a lot. Seriously - 12 glue sticks per child!
Okay - I digress. Shaun was just so excited looking through it all last night. This morning at breakfast he said he wanted to go to his new school today and didn't want to wait 2 weeks. Funny what a few glue sticks, colored pencils and a new pair of scissors will do. I'm so excited for him - and so sad at the same time. I know it is cliche, but I still see him as a tiny little peanut, sleeping in my arms in the glider chair. How can he be going to Kindergarten?!?
On a totally different topic - Shaun started his own contracting company this week. He's in charge - but he's a working owner - Ainsley and I are his workers. On this day - we were in charge of "fixing" the slide. He loves ordering us around and dole-ing out the tools.
Oh - and for some reason the dress code is VERY casual - underwear is okay - maybe a jammy shirt.

Looks like our Kindergarten loot - I left a voice mail for my neighbor to see if we are supposed to bring it all in on the first day! So wish Shaun was going to Wildfire too! Let's get together for a back to school party when we get back from DAB! Also - do you want to plan one night a week to work out together? If so let me know which night. I would love to do Kaufman's workout with someone!
That's a great idea - working out together one night a week. Having a partner makes it go faster and more fun.
Yes - once you are done with your world travels let us know and we'll get together for sure! Have a great time by the way!
I could any night except Thursday's. Maybe we should "start the week right" together and do it on Monday's? I hate Monday's and it would be something to look forward to!
