Age is a state of mind...

So yes - it's my birthday today and I suppose I should blog something wise and impressive.
Um - yeah right - it's me still - don't get your hopes up.

I'm 36 today. As my wonderful husband said "closer to 40 than otherwise". ;-)

At first I felt old this morning, but as I pondered more I realized I feel really content with life right now. I still feel like I'm in my late 20's in my mind - delusional? Yes! Okay with that? YES! Maybe it's not that I feel young still, but just that I am more comfortable in my skin a this point in life so age doesn't bother me.

What I most think of on this day is how very blessed I am.
*I have a great husband who is truly a partner and friend in my crazy life. He knows all my faults and still loves me anyway. What more could I wish for?
*I have two amazing, beautiful, intelligent, sweet children. They are totally healthy and strong, determined and loving.
*I have a good job with less stress than my previous one of 11+ years, we can pay all our bills and still have enough to take a vacation or do other fun things with our family.
*I have wonderful extended family that is so supportive and helpful to us and our children.
*I have terrific friends to laugh with, play with and who help me grow.

So - at 36...I'm thankful, humbled, and a year older & wiser.
