She was a "jumper" and is now a "tumbler". Very exciting stuff!
She had a blast, and so did we - watching her.
I didn't get a picture of her (lame mom), but here is one of her with her cupcakes at the family birthday party last Sunday. Still can't believe she is 4!
He's been working hard at the cages, but we warned him that at this level you can strike out and he might not get a hit his first game.
Well - we were wrong - he did get a hit and did some great fielding too! He is the youngest kid on the team - but he didn't show it! He did great!
We were too busy watching him (and dying in the extreme heat) to take many pictures - but we got a couple.
There is a lot of waiting around while the coaches were messing with the pitching machine this first game of the season.
but - when it came time to play - my little Jeter was ready!
The coaches are still getting to know him so he played a lot of different positions this game. Including 1st base - where he caught for an out, 2nd base where he threw for an out, and 3rd base, shortstop, and outfield. He's very versatile for a lefty!
After the game we had to jump in the pool before we all died of heat exhaustion. Ugh - I thought it was supposed to be fall now!?

Saturday night, of course, we watched the mighty Wildcats play to victory, and Sunday was full of NFL football.
I also made a big dinner Sunday. I tried making homemade wonton soup from scratch for the 1st time to go with our stir-fry. The wonton's turned out great, though I need to refine the broth.
All in all, a great weekend!

Looks like fun! I was glad I didn't have to sit in the sun at a sporting event on Saturday! Sure hope next weekend is cooler! Great job to Shaun! Thanks for cheering on the CATS. I gave up and went to bed!
