Happy 4th of July

We were lucky enough to spend 4th of July up North at my in-law's cabin again this year. Out of the heat - and in the gorgeous northern Arizona forest, it is just beautiful and relaxing!
Here's some pics of our fun!

First thing, Shaun had to go ride quad's with Daddy in the forest - so Ainsley and I chilled on the patio and played some cards. It is so nice to be able to be outside and not frying up in the heat!


The next day it was my turn to take Shaun Quad riding in the woods - we had a blast!


Of course - we had to build a fort! We are getting really good at it too!


On July 3rd the Country Club had a great little carnival for the kids to enjoy!
The requisite - "bouce house" was fun!


There was a hula hoop contest that Shaun did awesome at...


And your standard Independence day fun activities...

I think this was the first time he ever did such a thing and he was great at it!


Of course on July 4th we decorated our selves and our Quad and Golf Cart for the annual Mund's Park 4th of July Parade!
The kids caught candy thrown from floats, quads and golf carts - and Ainsley got some beads and a special lady liberty like crown from our friends, Glen and Kristy.

I should have taken more pictures of floats and our friends Brian, Lisa and Megan that joined us for the parade, but I forgot our camera this year - just had my phone - so I didn't get that many.

The fireworks in Flagstaff were cancelled this year due to the recent fires, so instead we went to DQ, ate ice cream treats, and then played with some glow sticks. The kids loved it anyway.

Oh well - fun was had by all and we all hated to have to come home to the "hot" as Shaun puts it.
