Okay, okay - I'm "jumping off the high dive", I'm coming clean......I'm on a diet.
I wasn't sure I should be so public about this - but decided being accountable to my "blogging public" was another way to keep motivated.
If you know me, you know I've struggled a bit up and down with weight over the years since my metabolism changed half way through college.
Maybe it was when I stopped playing soccer year round?
Maybe it was when I started downing beers like I was a frat boy?
Maybe it was when I fell in love and just got "fat and happy"?
Well - the answer is probably all of those - but also, I have found out recently, that at around the time you turn 22 yrs old for women, your metabolism changes pretty radically. Then, when you have a kid, it changes pretty drastically again (damn hormones), and throw in a 2nd kid - it gets worse! Ah-ha - finally - I have the culprit.
...but what good is a culprit, without a solution to the problem?
So - I hope I've found the solution. It's a more drastic diet than I've really ever done before, but it's Dr. directed and natural medicine in it's approach, while at the same time focusing on eating healthier - organic, natural.
Well - I'm almost done with week #1 and I'm down 4.5 lbs, and I feel great! I'm not hungry, I have energy and I feel very motivated.
I think I'll call week #1 a success...I'll keep you posted.
(I'm sure you'll wait on the edge of your seat, lol) ;-)
