gasp, what!?
It has been 5 years since we last did this - but we decided life is short and we need to embrace it and just do things we always talk about doing, but never do...
(of course since we just found out we need to replace our AC units and Water heater this year - maybe we could have waited to "live for the moment" until after we paid for those? hmmmm)
Oh well - we had a great time and it was an amazing place. The skiing was terrific! Very nice and warm the first day to kind of ease us in, and fresh snow the 2nd day with the most amazing powder.
Matt gets the award for the 1st day - he did great and kicked my butt! My body just was not responding the way it used to back in the day!
The 2nd day, however, totally belonged to me! My body woke up and I was shreddin' brah!
Anyway - Despite our other responsible financial needs looming (Cool air this summer, and hot water)...I highly recommend "living for the moment" once in a while. It was an amazing place, an amazing time, and great to have so much fun time with my amazing guy!
View from our room...
Center Village next to our room...and right on the slopes.
This is the skating rink right next to our room (covered in snow in this picture), hours before it was filled with kids and adults skating, playing hockey and broomball, and even some people curling!
View of the Super Pipe! Matt and I got some "big air" here! (no really, I swear!)
View from on our favorite run - we loved skiing the tree paths and weaving through this particular group of runs. It was soooo fun! Made me feel 16 again!
Lounging slopeside on alittle break halfway down the mountain.
We just had the BEST time - and we have to say a BIG THANKS to my parents for watching the kids while we were gone! While Matt and I felt a bit guilty on our trip and worried about the kids - the first night we were home, I was tucking Ainsley into bed and treasuring the little task I had missed for the last 4 days. She says, "Mommy, Can I go back to Neena Pat's house now?"Feel the love? I think they had a good time Neena Pat and Papa Jerry!
Thanks again!
