Random Friday thoughts...

Just some random thoughts this beautiful Friday Arizona morning...

My kids crack me up! Daily!

Shaun was telling me all about school yesterday when I picked him up and this was the story he studied about Thanksgiving...
"Mommy - A bunch of people rode on a flower a really long way. They sailed and sailed in a boat like a flower".
(At this point I figured out he was talking about the Mayflower).
"They didn't have anything to eat but old bread and it tipped over and a lot of people fell in the water and died, but some didn't and they came to our country the United States.
One guy went back and got more people, but it tipped again, but some people made it back with him again.
They had a big dinner but the Indians had to stand up and only eat corn because there wasn't enough."

Love it!

Ainsley now sings pretty much any time she isn't talking. If you engage her while she is singing, or ask her to sing louder for you, or try to video tape her singing - she immediately stops. (Until you go away and then she starts right up again). On our way home from daycare yesterday, before we picked Shaun up she spontaneously started singing "Bear Down Arizona"...the U of A Fight song. That's my girl!

Love it!

Shaun asked me last night about our cousin's that are coming to visit over Christmas. He doesn't really remember my Cousins Jenn and her husband Traver, and their kids Reganne and Payton because haven't seen them in so long...so I was telling him about them. I mentioned that both Jenn and Traver are soldiers, serving and protecting our country. He interrupted me and said, "Wait Mom, Cousin Jenn is a soldier!? Girls can be soldiers!?" I said yes, girls can do anything boys can do. He is sooooo excited now for them to come. He said he's never met a "REAL" soldier. I guess retired soldiers don't count, like Poppy Bob, Papa Jerry, Uncle Walt, Cousin David-Mark, etc... (Sorry guys, Jenn and Traver are the top of the list right now.) ;-)

Love it!
