About 9 months ago I got tired of cleaning crap out of the little playhouse of Ainsley's in our play area. My friend's were thinking of buying one for their kids and said they were tired of the huge slide they had in their house that takes up so much room.

We had an Ah-ha moment...a large play thing/toy exchange program. We all get sick of having those huge things take over our house, but we want variety for our kids. We get tired of paying hundreds of dollars on large ticket toy items only to have the kids be "over it" in 6 months.
So - we traded.
They got a barely used, cute little play house ... and we got a very cool climber/slide and we both got it all for gas money and space savings.

We call it going green - but the kids don't care - they just think they got 2 really cool big toys to play with/in/on. Ainsley's memory is so short at this point, I don't think she even realizes that when we traded back this week that the house used to be hers. She thinks it's new and fun, and I can't drag her out of it at the end of the night.
She sat in it last night reading books to Colleen and Pink Bear. Then she rang the door bell over and over and shouted "Go Away Halloween Kids". Then she lined up all her dolls and bears outside the door and said it was the school and she was the teacher and lining up all the kids to go outside for recess.
Thanks for the Slide Kaufman's - we loved it (our neighbor Lizzie will be very sad it is gone the next time she comes over to play because she LOVED it). And thanks for taking such good care of our little house.
I think it was a successful trade - and we'll have to do it again sometime. What's your plan for christmas / hannukah this year? Maybe we should coordinate! ;-)
