How incredibly embarassing and proud at the same time - I am going to honestly post my first week stats along side my stats from my last boot camp class testing this morning.
How many sit-ups can you do in a minute?
*Full on sit ups, not crunches - and they watch you like a hawk. Arms crossed across your chest, no pulling yourself up with your arms grabbing your legs...Seriously?!?
Week 1 - I did ...wait for it....FOUR! I'm not kidding - but in my defense I've had 2 c-sections and never have done ANY kind of ab work since the first one to get it back at all. Still - it was SO humbling that first week!
I can now do 28!
How many REAL push-ups can you do in a minute?
*Full Real Push-ups. No "girl" ones, and you're chest has to come down to within a hand's length of the floor they tell me. Ugh.
Week 1 I did 12 in a minute.
I can now do 32!
What would your time be on a 1.5 mile run?
*Let me also say that we run from on 35th Ave, from Pinnacle Peak to Deer Valley and half way back. Which incorporates a nice BIG hill for a large portion of it. I think we should get extra points for that!
Week 1 I walked more of it than I jogged, but it took me 20minutes, 26 seconds. Which was mortifying. Especially when the 74 year old grandma lapped me!
I can now do it in 18 minutes, 7 seconds.
For those of you keeping score - my numbers are still pretty dismal overall - but that is pretty good improvement for 6 weeks. I took 2 min, 19 seconds off my run, I almost tripled my push-ups and I did 7 times as many sit ups!
Why embarrass myself by sharing here? To motivate myself to keep pusing and make those even better in our new "Cottrell" bootcamp we start next week.

Absolutely awesome. And you did it while most of us are just sawing logs. I'm proud of your motivation and your accomplishment. Keep it up! PS: I best Matt has been working out in advance for Day 1 of Cottrell Boot Camp.
Nice job - so proud of you! I have recruited several more women to play indoor soccer ... including Shaun's teacher! Keep me posted! BTW 32 push ups is awesome!
