There is no crying in baseball!

We've all heard that famous phrase - right?

Well - turns out - IT'S NOT TRUE!!!???!!!

I always thought it was true, and have even said it to a little one crying on the field about where he gets to play or that he struck out.
Shaun has far outgrown that issue, and Ainsley is such a girly girl - so really at this point - didn't expect it to live in my vocabulary any more.

Boy, was I wrong!

Being a part of the "politics" of a youth baseball league, since I'm on the board now, has opened my eyes to realize that YES, in fact THERE IS crying in baseball! ...and whining ... and hurt feelings .... and drama on the level of teenage girl proportions!!!

The surprise is only compounded by the fact that it mostly comes from grown adults!

I guess I have to pull out my "I'm in my late 30's and I've chosen at this point in life to live a drama and bullcrap free zone" sign. I'll hang it on my neck at all baseball functions from now on.

( If anyone from the baseball league stumbles upon my family/venting outlet blog and reads this and is offended - please just assume I'm speaking of someone other than you. You are cool and the best and ..... Oh, what the heck - Sorry - it's just how I see it.)
