Haircuts, Friends, Mini-Vans, and Poop

What an awesome weekend!
First of all, we got Ainsley's hair cut last week and I promised a certain reader I'd post pictures - so here's A's new do...
Friday I hosted Bunko with my girlfriends and I just have to say - what a great group of strong women. Each of us have our own challenges in our lives and I'm so inspired by their fight, strength, humor and love they have for their family. I'm blessed to have them in my life.

Saturday we had a challenging day with the kids because they were so sleep deprived from the night before - but we had dinner and swim and play date fun at our friend D&C's house and it was fun. Each of the kids took turns being cranky butts, but it is still so nice to hang with them. You have to love those friends that can be around your kids at their worst and still love you and them despite it all! ;-) Thanks D & C!!!

Here's a pic of our littlest ones playing together. (They don't sit still so you never get a pic with them both looking.)
C also gave little Princess Ainsley one of their previous Halloween costume dresses to borrow for a while and as you can see - she adores it!

Sunday we spent some time mini-van shopping. Yes, I know - I said mini-van. I know it's not really the "cool" 3rd row vehicle - but those of you who know me, know I'm not a fancy car person and the convenience, price, safety ratings, and gas mileage drew me in. So - stay tuned for new car updates in the near future most likely. (we didn't buy yet - but probably soon).

Shaun's big excitemet about it - "It has A/C vents in the back for us!?!" It's the little things for that boy. ;-)
We also had a big Playdough fest and here is little Josie-doll (that's what A named her). She even tried carrying her around with her like a doll, but alas - she was smushed. ;-(

Okay - so we partied, shopped, swam, and played a ton this weekend - but the topper to the weekend? Ainsley and Shaun are in the shower last night. Matt and I are just outside the room discussing the whole van options thing when Ainsley starts crying and Shaun call's out Mom, Mom, come here... I run in there and Ainsley is standing there in the shower, naked and dripping, crying like a banshee and holding in her sweet little hand - a Giant Poop. Nice! Augh - disgusting! What is the polite thing to do when you realize you have to poop right now and you are in the shower with your brother? Catch it in your hand I guess. Okay - gross I know - but such is my life some times. Chalk it up to the things you never thought you'd find yourself doing before you had kids.

We have a Honda Odyssey. We call her GG-aka The Grocery Getter. She's not bad but I'd rather be driving a big 'ol gas guzzleing SUV! Someday-like when the 3 boys are too big to be crawling into the back seat!
