With me gone in ND last weekend - we waited longer to get our tree than in previous years - but we still managed to get a great one!!

The search at the lot is as fun as finding one...and the decorating is fun - but the Star is the coveted ornament of course.
Good thing daddy's neck is strong - but not sure how many more years both the kids can put it on!
We also went to Glendale Glitters - a Christmas Festival in a Phoenix suburb this year.
It has lots of lights, music, bounce houses, food carts, and craft booths. It seemed a bit more about hawking stuff for money to Matt and I, than it did about Christmas - but the kids had fun anyway - so it was a success.
The best part was getting a couple opportunities to give a little xtra help to some homeless guys on our way home and have a great talk with the kids about what Giving and Christmas is really about.
This Sunday was the most amazing Christmas memory I got to make with Ainsley - as we went to the Nutcracker Ballet. It was magical to watch it through her eyes. Her Awe, her joy, and excitement made it one of my favorite mommy moments with Ainsley to date. She is such a fun, special, and creative girl and she just adored everything about it! The dressing up and getting ready before we went, the dinner out downtown, the orchestra pit, the costumes, the dancing, even learning what an "intermission" was...she just loved everything about it - and so did I!!
Merry Christmas everyone! Hope you are having as much fun as we are!!
